Secondary clutch spring is designed for riding with oversized wheels (28” and up). It reduces belt slipping and protects the clutch from overheating. It gives better low-end power, torque, and quicker backshift which results in a crisp throttle response.

  • Transfers the engine power to the wheels more effectively.

  • Lowers the belt working temperature, thus increasing the belt life significantly.

  • Reduces belt slip, lowers the belt working temperature, and thus increases the belt life significantly.

  • Most cost-effective and easiest way to get performance out of your vehicle.

  • Helps to maintain the optimal CVT transmission performance when changing the tire size to bigger ones.

  • Give more belt grip for big tires.

  • Slows upshifting and correct the gear ratio with big tires.

  • Lower belt temp when using big tires

Our secondary clutch spring helps to maintain the optimal CVT transmission performance when changing the tire size of the vehicle from standard. When installing larger diameter tires, it is recommended to change the clutch settings also. If the clutch settings are not changed, the clutch will try to engage too soon and the clutch changes the transmission gearing too early for the larger wheels, placing a heavy load on the clutch belt, which could end with a broken belt in the worst case.

If the clutch belt has broken for some reason, it has probably generated high heat in the clutch parts, which could also have an effect on the clutch (clutch)spring. A loose spring causes the clutch to engage too soon and the transmission gearing changes too early, which usually can cause the new clutch belt to break. So, it is recommended that the (clutch)spring in the clutch should be always replaced in pairs with a new belt. The function of the secondary clutch is to make the transmission heavier as the speed increases and the spring and helix inside it determine this event as desired.

If the ring size is changed to a larger than two inches constant, for example, it makes the constant really high on the clutch when accelerating, because then it tries to implement too much transmission too early. This can be easily remedied by replacing the clutch spring with a stiffer one, thereby slowing the growth of the transmission and creating additional belt pressure which increases belt grip.
