The performance of all-terrain vehicles and utility terrain vehicles is largely dependent on the set-up of the clutch system of the vehicle. Factory fitted original clutches are calibrated for the standard factory-fitted tyres and suspension, and for universal use of the vehicle. If you wish to use your vehicle on more specific occasions or in more demanding conditions, such as for complicated farming or gardening works or for towing or carrying heavier loads, or you want to use oversize wheels and tyres for better off-road capabilities or even go racing, then your vehicle’s clutch system needs a different set-up, to match the use of the vehicle.

Secondary clutch springs
The secondary clutch spring is designed for riding with oversized wheels (28” and up). It reduces belt slipping and protects the clutch from overheating, it gives better low-end power, torque, and quicker backshift which results in a crisp throttle response.
Secondary clutch helixes
In the secondary clutch, a helix /spring combination is used to generate belt squeezing and up-shifting forces. Helixes and secondary springs are calibrated to balance the pull from the belt created by engine torque
